Interested in commissioning a piece of art?
The subject matter can be literally anything you want. Commissions I’ve been given in the past range from “Anything you feel like painting” to “I’ve got a photograph that I want rendered as a painting.” People with whom I’ve traveled often want an image deriving from a trip we did together, sometimes inspired by a sketch they saw me do. The size and the medium are also up to you.
Then I give you an estimate of what it will cost, based entirely on my guess at how much time it will take me, plus approximate shipping costs. I can also give an estimate of when I can have it ready…patience is sometimes required, because I travel a lot. If the project is large or complex, I will send a rough draft image along the way for your approval.
When it’s done, I pack it up and mail it to you. Just the artwork itself; no frame or glass to complicate things. Oh, and then you send me a check—let’s not forget that part!
